Fill - broadcasting SOAK, 7pm-8pm, Sunday, March 5, 2023 @ 106.7PBSFM

Hey wow - a SOAK fill, always an honour to be filling in for Hannah McKittrick, this time, on Sunday March 5. You can expect some recent and a few not so recent music pieces. Naturally, it'll be spacious, looking towards the horizon and there'll be a lot of slow decay. There's music from Cédric Dind-Lavoie, I have been enjoying his 2021 album, Archives, a bunch lately. Hannah herself will be in the mix - she's a creatrix yeah, creating some great music ... and radio. Late last year Hannah released The day has again bruised me, it's a really special album, I'll be featuring a track from this.

A long time fave of mine, Loscil, has released an album with Lawrence English (ROOM40), titled Colours of Air. Its a dream duo, and on initial listening, a sublime release - expect Yellow. Also music from Darren Harper on Shimmering Moods Records. Machinefabriek - creating music within a hectic schedule and featuring Peter Broderick. Local composer with an environmentally aware practice, Hannah Lee, has created the field recording steeped release - summer solstice. Cédric Dind-Lavoie has been on my radar for a few years, in 2018 he released an album titled 88 on the Preserved Sound label - it's up there with some of the finest post classical ambient music there is. So, thats some of what you will hear, get along via the linkage above to the show to get the full picture.
